Trump’s tree lighting was a bit…sparse. Although there are no numbers to compare the attendance for Obama’s tree lighting vs. Trump’s, it wouldn’t be news to hear Trump had significantly less. Just check the inauguration crowd size.
Twitter decided to troll Trump and mention crowd size once again, this time for his tree lighting. On Thursday night, November 30, the tree was lit at the White House. From the front, where Trump and Co. were seated, the crowd seemed suffice. However, different angles tell a different story:

To enhance the troll, Twitter users compared Trump’s crowd to Obama’s:

Biggest crowd ever to watch the National Tree Lighting ceremony. Of course, only if you ignore President Obama's. pic.twitter.com/em2vWaR9GO

The crowd for the National Christmas Tree lighting by Trump looks about the same size as for his inauguration. pic.twitter.com/HYBkKD9piX
