Munroe Bergdorf, a 29-year-old transgender model, had signed to be the new face of L’Oreal. However, Bergdorf took to Twitter to express her anger against the racist white community and to speak out against racism.
The French cosmetic company did not appreciate the tweets and she was fired for misrepresenting the company and its values.

Many people were shocked and upset, threatening to boycott L’Oreal for firing a model expressing her opinions. So when it was announced that Bergdorf was picked up by Illamasqua, they were relieved.
