You’re Going to Want a Transparent Kayak On Your Next Vacation

Watersports just got a whole lot better, thanks to these transparent kayaks. Designed for beginners and kayaking aficionados alike, Florida’s Crystal Kayak Company created the “Crystal Explorer” to make kayaking a much more interactive experience.

Lighter than a traditional kayak at 47 pounds, the transparent kayak is made completely out of Spanish Lexan, the same material used for airplane windshields according to Travel + Leisure — which might explain why the price for one of the underwater sightseeing creations starts at $1499. But fear not, there are plenty of hotel and rental companies that hire out the genius vessels–especially in locations with the bluest, clearest waters.
