The tweet format “We need a Disney princess who ____” has taken over our timelines these past few days, with many using it as a joke to gain retweets. However, Twitter user @floozyesq came up with one that had a lot of truth behind it. A lot of people related to her tweet, which has garnered over 19,000 retweets and 3,000 responses.
The tweet revealed a problem that many women suffer from: chronic UTIs with no proper resolution from the doctor.
We need a disney princess with chronic UTIs who goes to the doctor and the doctor tells her to always pee after sex and the princess says she’s already doing that and the doctor says well that’s all the advice I have

While there are ways to prevent UTIs, such as urinating after sex and wiping front to back, women who experience chronic infections are typically already doing these things. Chronic UTIs can be a result of many different issues, and definitely doesn’t solely come from holding in your pee after having sex. In fact, one woman chimed in to say they received this advice as a virgin:
