The Vending Machine For Cars is Real and Gigantic

Buying a car can be a a challenging task, but imagine picking a car out of a big ass vending machine.

Carvana, an online shop for used cars, revealed its newest car vending machine in Tampa, Florida on Thursday. The eight-story building holds 32 cars for buyers to choose from online. It is operated using a special huge coin that you enter into the machine, and voila, out comes your car that you picked out and bought before arriving on the scene.

For those who can fight the urge of purchasing a car from a vending machine, Carvana offers delivery directly to your home. But let’s be real, who would give that up? The company even offers a travel stipend up to $200 to help get you from the Tampa International Airport to the vending machine. Sign me up!

This is the eighth vending machine Caravan has released to the public. The first one appeared in Nashville in 2015, at five-stories tall, and the next batch followed in the past three years in Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Jacksonville, Florida.

Ryan Keeton, Carvana co-founder and chief brand officer, said in a call that Carvana provides variety to the car buying world. “If people really look forward to going to a dealership and haggling” then the website, home delivery, and vending machines aren’t for them.

Why go to a car show if these vending machines exist? Keeton said usually “buying a car is not a great experience,” so a new way to buy a car is worth trying out.

Also, vending machines run America so it makes sense to finally be able to buy cars from them.
