You Can Now Takes Selfies in a Voting Booth in Tennessee Thanks to Justin Timberlake

Back in October, Justin Timberlake took a selfie in the voting booth during the Presidential election. Seems innocent enough, right? Except for the fact that taking selfies in a voting booth in his hometown of Tennessee is illegal.

Timberlake is a well-known supporter of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. So when he went in to vote early, it was no surprise that he voted for Clinton and he was proud. However, his pride almost got him a $50 fine and up to 30 days in jail (luckily that didn’t happen).

Anyway, thanks to Timberlake, the laws in Tennessee are changing now.

According to Billboard, the state passed a bill recently that allows photography and videotaping devices to capture filled-out ballots. Selfies in polling stations are now allowed, except in the case of intimidation, fraud, or vote-selling, which are all still illegal regardless.

Anyway, when the 2020 election roll around, Justin can take as many selfies as he wants.
