Media giant YouTube is adding more channels to its TV streaming device.
The company will now include the following networks: TBS, TNT, CNN, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, truTV, and Turner Classic Movies. The channels will now be a part of YouTube’s monthly TV deal. This will give users access to such shows like Rick and Morty, The Alienist (TNT), NBA TV, and the MLB Network.
NBA All-Access and MLB.TV will be include as add-ons for a price in the next few months.
The increase in channels comes with a catch, because starting March 13, the monthly charge will go from $35 to $40. BUT….users will be allow to keep the cheaper fee of $35 if they signed up before March 13th.
YouTube TV will now be obtainable in the following cities: Lexington, Dayton, Honolulu, El Paso, Burlington, Plattsburgh, Richmond, Petersburg, Mobile, Syracuse, Champaign, Springfield, Columbia, Charleston, Harlingen, Wichita, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton.
For the people who do have the TV service from YouTube, this is pretty cool since the company is pretty much just adding more basic channels and expand its availability. The jump in fee does suck, but at least YouTube is giving customers a chance to get the less expensive option before March 13.
