4 bold predictions for Week 8 vs. Giants

The Eagles are on the verge of their best start in over a decade. How can they keep up momentum? Here’s what Philadelphia players expect to see happen during Week 8 against the Giants.

The “nfl predictions” is a weekly column that looks at the upcoming week of games and makes bold predictions. This week, we will be looking at 4 bold predictions for Week 8 vs. Giants.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 8 meeting against the New York Giants will be watched closely to see how Patrick Mahomes and his squad recover from their worst start in years. Kansas City should have an easy day against the Giants since New York isn’t much of a danger. After a poor performance in Week 7, this will be the ideal chance for the Chiefs to climb back in the win column while figuring out how to execute their offense.

With that in mind, I’ve come up with four bold predictions for Week 8’s matchup.

Week 8 Predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs

4. Patrick Mahomes will be unstoppable.

In Week 7, against the Tennessee Titans, Mahomes didn’t exactly have a stellar performance. He was not only put in concussion protocol, but he also seemed to be unable to get his offense going. The Chiefs has 0 touchdowns this season and have turned the ball over far too often. For as good as their offense is, it all comes down to completing drives, and Kansas City will have to make that adjustment going forward. On Monday, Mahomes will lead them to accomplish exactly that, as he’s shown time and time again that he can bounce back, particularly after a bad game.

I’m looking forward to getting back into it this week! #ChiefsKingdom

On Monday, expect a spiteful Patrick Mahomes to come up and play his finest game yet.

3. The Chiefs come out on top in the turnover fight.

Because these two teams have a history of losing the football, turnovers are an intriguing subject to monitor ahead of Monday’s matchup. In their first seven games, the Giants’ defense has forced 9 turnovers, while the Chiefs have turned the ball over 17 times. Another fascinating tidbit is that in each of the Chiefs’ previous three games, the offense has had at least three turnovers. In short, Kansas City’s opponents will be aware of this and will try everything possible to take the ball away from Mahomes.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, will not let the Giants to win the turnover fight on Monday. Kansas City’s turnovers have been so problematic this season that they’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again on Monday.

2. The Giants’ defense will be overwhelmed by Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

Hill has 52 catches for 641 yards and five touchdowns in seven games, along with five runs for 63 yards. His catches are tied for second in the league, and he has developed into one of Kansas City’s most valuable weapons. Kelce, on the other hand, has been his usual domineering self. This season, he has 45 catches for 533 yards and four touchdowns.

These two superstars are the reason why Kansas City’s offense is so good. They can win any game. Hill and Kelce will both deliver on Monday, with a feeling of urgency now required. Two of Mahomes’ deadly offensive weapons will be unstoppable by the Giants defense.

1. Andy Reid will devise the most effective strategy ever.

Reid is well aware that Kansas City is in risk of missing out on the playoffs, which is why he will do all in his power to win Monday’s game. It’s a moment to show the world that the Kansas City Chiefs are OK and that, despite a below-average defense, they can still flourish on their offense. Reid will be under pressure, but he will deliver.
