Sheridan Smith made an appearance on Jonathan Ross’ long-running talk show this week, and was reportedly ‘upset’ backstage owing to a’misogynistic’ environment.
The performer, 40, was said to be ‘very upset’ when shooting concluded because she thought she had not been ‘treated with care.’
‘When scheduling the program, we are always careful to ensure we are diverse and inclusive to everybody,’ an ITV representative stated.
‘At all times, we treat our visitors with decency and respect,’ they stated.
According to The Sun, a representative for Jonathan Ross said, “Sheridan looked to have a fantastic time on the program” but “appeared to get agitated afterwards.”
‘Don’t worry, it’s not you,’ the singer is claimed to have remarked when presenter Jonathan enquired whether she was okay.
